Shop T409 Stainless Steel Tubing
14 Gauge/.079 is a very bendable stainless steel tube on regular hydraulic muffler shop pipe benders. You can bend bump it, swedge it and flair it just like aluminized.

Shop M409 Stainless Steel Tubing
17 Gauge/.059 is a thinner tube that does not bend well on hydraulic pipe benders. It is used when fabricating mandrel bent systems or for use with mandrel benders. Stainless is priced by weight and the .059 is cheaper than the .079.
